Fuel Filler Pipe, Remove and Install - Model F08, F08 & W5L, F68 (Petrol)

Note:   Fuel escapes – observe safety measures and national legislation.

  Remove

3.   Remove rubber seal (1) of upper fuel filler pipe.

4.   Remove fastening bolt (arrow) of upper fuel filler pipe.

5.   Remove right rear wheel Note:   Mark position in respect of drum hub. 6.   Remove fastening bolt (2) of lower fuel filler pipe. 7.   Release ventilation and degassing pipes from clamps (arrows). 8.   Detach fuel filler hose (3) from fuel filler pipe and remove fuel filler pipe from wheel housing. 9.   Remove ventilation hose (1) from pipe at fuel filler pipe. 10.   Remove degassing hose from rear degassing line at quick-release fitting (4) with KM-796 and seal both with KM-807 .

11.   Release rear degassing hose (1) from brackets (arrows) at fuel filler pipe and remove from pipe (2) at fuel vapour separator.

12.	Detach rear degassing hose from fuel tank Note:   When replacing the fuel filler pipe. To do this lower fuel tank until the filler pipe is accessible to the rear degassing pipe

  Install

13.   Lay rear degassing pipe (1) at fuel filler pipe and install at fuel vapour separator (2). Clip rear degassing hose to brackets (arrows) at fuel filler pipe.

14.   Install fuel filler pipe in wheel housing and attach with lower fastening bolt (2) Note:   Tightening torque 11 Nm 15.   Install ventilation hose (1) with new clamp at fuel filler pipe and clip into brackets (arrows) on fuel filler pipe with degassing hoses. 16.   Attach fuel filler hose (3) to fuel filler pipe Note:   Tightening torque 2.5 Nm 17.   Remove KM-807 from degassing hose and rear degassing line. Connect degassing hose and rear degassing line with quick-release fitting (4) Note:   Quick-release fitting must engage audibly.

18.   Install fastening bolt (arrow), upper fuel filler pipe Note:   Tightening torque 1.5 Nm

19.   Install rubber seal (1) of upper fuel filler pipe.
