Fuel Line – Front, Remove and Install
– Models F 06, F 25 (Petrol Engine)
Warning: Fuel
escapes – observe safety measures and national
legislation.
 Remove
| 1. |
Disconnect earth lead from battery.
|
| 2. |
Reduce fuel pressure at test connection (2) with KM-J-34730-91
Note: Collect escaping
fuel in a suitable container.

| 3. |
Detach fuel hose (1) from fuel distributor pipe
| • |
Press quick-release fitting (4) in the direction of the fuel
line with a screwdriver
|
| • |
Seal fuel line with KM-807
|
|
| 4. |
Unclip fuel line out of bracket (3).
|
|
|
| 5. |
Disconnect front fuel line (1) with KM-796-A at quick-release fitting of centre fuel line
(2)
| • |
Seal both lines with KM-807 (3)
|
|
| 6. |
Remove front axle body
|
| 7. |
Unclip front fuel line from bracket (arrows).
| • |
Remove front fuel line.
|
|
|
|
Install
| 8. |
Position front fuel line and clip into holder (arrows).
|
| 9. |
Install front fuel line (1) on centre fuel line (2) with front
axle body
| • |
Attach quick-release fitting
Note: Quick-release
fitting must engage perceptibly.

|
|
| 11. |
Attach fuel line (1) with quick-release fitting to fuel
distributor pipe (3)
Note: Quick-release
fitting must engage perceptibly.
|
| 12. |
Clip fuel line into bracket (2).
|
|
|
| 13. |
Connect battery earth cable.
|
| 14. |
Program volatile memories
|
| 15. |
Check connections of front fuel line for leaks
Note: With the engine
running
