Restrictions
For the following systems and wiring
harnesses, repair is not allowed:
- Shielded lines/coaxial cables for anti-lock brake
system/anti-skid control system, radio, telephone, motor,
anti-theft warning system, for example. An exception to this rule
are CAN-bus wires, they can be repaired as given in chapter Step D6
- Perform Repair
- Airbag and pyrotechnic seat belt tensioner system
- Electronically controlled throttle valve
- Power steering system
- Electrical seat adjustment
- High-voltage live cables (e.g. ignition system, xenon
lamp)
Note: In single
cases, within the framework of field remedies, deviations to these
rules can be made.
