Replace bonnet closure Bowden cable
 Remove

Remove bonnet closure Bowden cable from bonnet closure

Detach Bowden cable from bonnet closure (2) and lay aside
|

|
|
| 2. |
Detach wind protection panelling 
|
| 3. |
Remove sill inner panelling
|
| 4. |
Detach bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable lever
|
|
|
| 5. |
Detach bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable, and remove
| • |
Expose Bowden cable completely
|
| • |
Remove rubber bush in bulkhead
|
| • |
Pull Bowden cable with lever into vehicle interior
Note: Pull carefully,
risk of damage!

| 6. |
Remove bonnet locking mechanism lever from Bowden cable
|
Install
| 7. |
Attach bonnet locking mechanism lever to Bowden cable
|
| 8. |
Install and position bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable
| • |
Push Bowden cable with lever through bulkhead from vehicle
interior
Note: Ensure it lies
correctly without kinking!

Install rubber bush in bulkhead
|
| • |
Position Bowden cable in engine compartment
|
|
| 9. |
Attach bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable lever
|
| 10. |
Install sill inner panelling
|
| 11. |
Install wind protection panelling
|
| 12. |
Attach bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable
| • |
Attach Bowden cable to bonnet closure
|
|
| 13. |
Adjust bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable
| • |
Adjust the Bowden cable so that there is no clearance where the
end nipple rests against the bonnet closure.
Note: The bonnet
closure must return to its initial position after actuation from
any setting.
