Replace heat exchanger > < Cooling System, Charge and Bleed

Corsa D

Replace coolant pipe

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach ground connection from ground terminal
– Undo nut
3.   Raise vehicle by its full height
4.   Drain coolant
•   Place collecting basin underneath.
•   Push hose (2) onto connection
•   Open drain bolt (1)
•   Collect coolant
•   Close drain bolt

5.   Lower vehicle by its full height
6.   Detach coolant feed hose from coolant pipe
•   Release clamp
7.   Remove coolant pipe (1) between thermostat housing and oil filter housing (3)
Note:   The diagram shows the coolant pipe with the exhaust manifold removed for greater clarity.
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (2)
•   Pull from oil filter housing

  Install

8.   Clean sealing surface
•   Oil filter housing
•   Thermostat housing
9.   Install thermostat housing coolant pipe to oil filter housing
•   Use 2x new seal
•   Push into oil filter housing
•   Tighten 2x bolt 8 Nm
10.   Attach coolant feed hose to coolant pipe
•   Fasten clamp
11.   Connect battery
•   Attach ground connection to ground terminal
– Tighten nut
12.   Fill and bleed cooling system LUREF_1.gif
13.   Program volatile memories
14.   Close bonnet
