Repair lower radiator fixing pin (Z 13 DTJ, Z 13
DTH, A 17 DTS, Z 17 DTR)
Note: The work
instruction "Repairing the Lower Radiator Mounting Pin (Z 13 DTJ, Z
13 DTH) was described using a Corsa D, on the right-hand side in
the direction of travel. For the left-hand side, the procedure is
similar.
Remove
1. |
Cooling System, Check for Leaks
Note: If the radiator
has leaks, the entire radiator must be replaced.

2. |
Grind fractured surfaces flat using a suitable tool
|
|
|
3. |
Drill a hold completely through the centre of the fractured
surface
|
Important: Protect coolant
filling connector against damage using a suitable object (1)
|
4. |
Drill side hole at least 30 mm
deep
|
|
|
Install
5. |
Install new radiator pin
• |
The recess of the radiator pin (1) must align with the hole
(2)
|
• |
Tighten bolt (3) 3.5 Nm
|
