Complaint Customer complains about jerking behavior, loss of power and SVS light on. DTC´s logged are P2282 (51) and/or P2428 (00), P0131 (52).
Cause Investigation revealed that mentioned problem occurs due to loss of compression. Especially at higher ambient temperatures and during low load driving cycles soot coming from the EGR system might lead to built up of a soot layer at the intake/outlet valves causing loss of compression and DTC setting.

Remedy

In case of customer complaint reprogram ECU with an improved
software which is schedule to be available as of CW 46/2011 for
the following application:

MY11,

Corsa-D: Z/A13DTE, A13DTC, A13DTR,

Meriva: A13DTC, A13DTE.
If problem reoccur check the hardware related impact as described:

Check COMPLETE intake system concerning any possible leakages,
e.g. cracked boot hoses, loose clamps, etc. Check must be performed on
the clean air side, e.g. air filter box to Turbo charger compressor
inlet and on the pressure side, e.g. Turbo charger compressor outlet
side to intake manifold (including the intercooler).

Note: Especially the boost hose from the compressor outlet to
intercooler inlet was found faulty a few times! In case the clean
air and boost system was found leak proof, e.g. no leakages detected
please also check the COMPLETE vacuum system concerning any split
or bent hoses. If neither the intake nor the vacuum system shows
any deviation please proceed as follows in order to burn the soot
layer from the intake/outlet valves:

Rev up the engine 3 times (similar to emission testing) into the rev
limiter and keep the upper idle speed for 20 seconds.

Allow 20 seconds recovery in between the steps. After the last step
let the engine run in lower (= normal) idle condition for about
60 seconds before shutting off the engine.

Note: Please do not change any parts like, ECU, Turbo Charger,
injectors, lambda sensor, temperature sensor, etc.
