Replace MTA system assembly (M20 MTA)
Remove
Important: Follow Easytronic
safety notes .

Remove transmission
|
2. |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
3. |
Detach clutch pressure hose (2)

Release retaining clamp (1)
|
• |
Engage retaining clip in connector
|
|
|
|
4. |
Unlock and separate the wiring harness plug (2) for gearbox
output speed (1)
|
|
|
6. |
Unscrew shift module on transmission
• |
Unclip wiring harness plug
|
|
|
|
7. |
Remove MTA system from transmission
|
Install
8. |
Replace gasket for shift module
|
|
Important: Before installing the
MTA system, the gearbox and shift module must be checked for
correct installation position. The gearbox and shift module must
stand in the idle position "N".

Check gears for idle position, if necessary adjust by moving
the shift finger.
|
10. |
Check shift module for idle position, if necessary adjust by
twisting
|
|
11. |
Check angle of shift finger for idle position, if necessary
adjust by twisting
Note: In this test, 4
positions are possible. The two centre positions are both
correct.

|
12. |
Carefully place MTA system with retaining bracket (1) on
transmission
|
|
|
13. |
Attach shift module bracket to transmission
• |
Tighten stud bolts (1) 28 Nm
|
|
|
|
14. |
Attach shift module
• |
Tighten 4x bolts (1) 28 Nm
|
|
|
|
15. |
Attach clutch pressure hose (2)
• |
Engage clutch pressure hose in connector
Note: Clamp (1) must
audibly engage.

|
|
16. |
Connect and lock wiring harness plug (2) for gearbox output
speed sensor (1)
|
|
|
17. |
Remove retaining bracket (1) for MTA system
|
18. |
Fit retaining bracket to removed MTA system
|
|
|
19. |
Install transmission
Note: Do not install
battery and battery support yet.
|
