Replace multivalve (Euro 5)

Warning:   When working on the LPG system, the multivalve shut-off valve must be closed BY HAND. Work may only be performed by trained personnel. Faulty installation can lead to fire or explosion, which is a danger to life and limb.

Important:   Observe safety regulations for gas-driven vehicles (natural gas / Liquefied Petroleum Gas LPG).

  Remove

1.   Open tailgate
2.   Remove spare wheel cover
3.   Drain gas system
•   Siphon off liquid gas
•   Blow off liquid gas
4.   Detach gas inlet hose from multivalve
•   Unscrew nut (1)
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug
5.   Detach gas outlet hose from multivalve
•   Unscrew bolt (2)

6.   Remove multivalve
•   Unscrew 6x bolts (1)
Important:   When removing the multivalve, be careful of the linkage on the tank fill level display.
•   Unscrew multivalve
•   Remove gasket

  Install

7.   Install multivalve
•   Tighten 6x screws
– Tightening torque 4 Nm
8.   Attach gas outlet hose to multivalve
•   Tighten screw with MKM-6600-1 and MKM-6600-200
– Tightening torque 11 Nm
9.   Attach gas inlet hose to multivalve
•   Tighten nuts with MKM-6600-1 and MKM-6600-200
– Tightening torque 14 Nm
•   Connect wiring harness plug
10.   Carry out leak test and repair any leaks LUREF_1.gif
11.   Install spare wheel cover
12.   Close tailgate
