Panelling – Signal Switch, Remove and Install (Continued)

Expose fastening bolts for signal switch panelling by turning steering wheel and release.

Steering wheel to "straight-ahead" position and remove ignition key.

Release lower bolts for signal switch panelling.

For clearer presentation, illustration shows vehicle with steering wheel removed.

Release steering wheel height adjustment sleeve (2), unscrew steering wheel height adjustment lever (1).

Press ignition lock sleeve (3) behind signal switch panelling, unclip lower part of signal switch panelling out of upper part and remove. Upper part of signal switch panelling (4).

  Install

Insert upper part of signal switch panelling – ensure correct seating of turn signal switch sleeves and wash/wipe system switch.

Insert lower part of signal switch panelling and clip into upper part of signal switch panelling (arrows) – ensure correct seating of ignition lock sleeve, secure lower part of signal switch panelling.

Insert steering wheel height adjustment lever with bolt locking compound, sleeve for steering wheel height adjustment lever.

Secure front fastening bolts for signal switch panelling by turning steering wheel.
