  Remove

Remove affected single-disc joint from both flanges.

When replacing rear single-disc joint: Detach heat shields from vehicle underbody. Remove centre bearing bracket (1) from vehicle underbody.

Push together propshaft on slider (using tyre lever, if necessary) so that single-disc joint is clear of guide pin of transmission/rear differential. Remove single-disc joint from propshaft flange.

  Install

Attach single-disc joint to propshaft flange. Place propshaft with single-disc joint on guide pin of transmission/rear differential and flange on.

Attach single-disc joint to transmission or rear differential flange – tightening torque 95 Nm / 70 lbf. ft. (if using fastening bolts M12 x 1.5).

If torx bolts are used:

Fit single-disc joint to transmission flange or differential flange with Torx screws (M10 x 1.25 – tightening torque 50 Nm / 37 lbf. ft., then continue turning screws through another 75° + 15°.

Attach centre bearing bracket (1) to vehicle underbody – tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.

Attach heat shields to vehicle underbody.
