Cause of Fault:

·   Ignition ON

     Actuate brake

Left and right brake lamps illuminate

·   Fuse F 2 defective

·   Lead interruption between fuse F 2 and brake lamp switch S 8

·   Brake lamp switch S 8 defective

·   Lead interruption between brake lamp switch S 8 and plug connection X 1 / Ter. 1

·   Lead interruption between plug connection X 1 / Ter. 1 and brake lamps

·   Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect plug X 25P from control unit U 4.8

·   Connect voltmeter between X 2SP / Ter. 22 and ground

·   Ignition ON

·   Actuate brake

approx. 12 V

·   Lead interruption between plug connection X 1 / Ter. 1 and control unit U 4.8 / X 25P / Ter. 2

·   Control unit U 4.8 defective
