Brake Pressure Hose, Front, Left or Right, Replace

Top up brake fluid reservoir to "MAX" mark and seal with MKM-558-10.

  Remove

Remove corresponding wheel and unscrew brake line (1). Remove locking plate (2).

Caution

Brake fluid escapes – collect and close off openings.

  Remove

Remove clips for wear indicator sensor wiring harness. Disconnect wiring harness plug for wheel sensor at wheel housing. Remove retaining plate (1). Unscrew banjo bolt (2). Remove brake pressure hose from brackets.

  Install

Insert new brake pressure hose at bracket in wheel housing and spring strut dome and insert retaining plates. Connect wiring harness plug for wheel sensor at wheel housing and clip in bracket.

Insert wiring harness for wear indicator sensor in brackets with clips.

Fit brake lines on brake pressure hose – tightening torque 16 Nm / 12 lbf. ft. Fit banjo bolt, brake pressure hose on brake caliper – tightening torque 40 Nm / 29.5 lbf. ft. (use new seal rings). Fit front wheel – tightening torque 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft.

  Inspect

Bleed brake system and check for leaks – see operation "Brake System, Bleed" and "Brake System, Check for Leaks".
