Coolant Pump, Remove and Install > < Timing Chain, Remove and Install

Oil Pump, Remove and Install

  Remove

Remove timing chains – see operation "Timing chains, Remove and Install".

Remove disc springs (1).

Remove oil intake pipe (3 attachment screws).

Remove oil pump attachment screws (arrows).

Remove oil pump (3).

Remove bushing (2).

  Clean

Remove gasket remnants and clean sealing surfaces.

  Install

Insert bushing into the oil pump with collar facing the cylinder block.

Attach oil pump and new oil seal and loosely insert attachment screws.

Insert Centring Tool KM-827 (1) as far as possible and adjust oil pump by tightening the knurled thumb screw.

Connect oil pump attachment screws to cylinder block – tightening torque 9 Nm / 6.5 lbf. ft.

Remove Centring Tool KM-827.

Install oil intake pipe with new oil seal (2), sealing bead (3) facing the oil intake pipe – tightening torque 11 Nm / 8 lbf. ft.

  Inspect

Check that disc spring is in perfect condition.

  Install

Insert disc spring into crankshaft.

Install timing chains – see operation "Timing Chains, Remove and Install".
