Remove battery. Remove ribbed V-belt – see operation "Ribbed V-belt, Remove and Install". Remove belt pulley from power steering pump. Siphon hydraulic fluid out of fluid reservoir. Remove pressure line (1) and return line (2) from power steering pump – place collecting basin underneath.

Remove ground cable from auxiliary aggregates support.

For X 25 XE, X 30 XE: Detach bracket for secondary air metal pipe from power steering pump.

Drain air conditioning – see operation "Air Conditioning, Drain" in group "D".

Remove fastening bolt (3). Remove coolant lines from AC compressor.

Remove fastening bolts (1) and (2) for AC compressor from auxiliary aggregates support.

Remove fastening bolt (3) for refrigerant line bracket from oil pan housing.

Detach wiring harness plug from compressor.

Remove AC compressor.

Detach fastening bolts (1) (x4) from auxiliary aggregates support – 1 bolt accessible via aperture in left wheel housing. Remove auxiliary aggregates support with power steering pump.

  Install

Auxiliary aggregates support with power steering pump and fastening bolts (1) to cylinder block – tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.

Insert AC compressor in auxiliary aggregates support. Bolt refrigerant lines to AC compressor with fastening bolt – do not tighten.

Connect AC compressor with fastening bolts (2) to auxiliary aggregates support – tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.

Attach wiring harness plug to compressor.

Fasten coolant line bracket with fastening bolt (3) to oil pan housing.

Attach AC compressor to auxiliary aggregates support with fastening bolts (1) – tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.

Tighten refrigerant lines to AC compressor – tightening torque 40 Nm / 29.5 lbf. ft.

Attach pressure line and return line to hydraulic power steering pump.

For X 25 XE, X 30 XE: Install bracket for secondary air metal pipe to power steering pump.
