The start of injection sensor is integrated into the 4th
cylinder injector nozzle holder. The start injection sensor picks up the
injection timing by recognizing the needle motion.
If the crankshaft sensor (engine speed sensor) should
malfunction, a replacement value is determined from the intervals in the
start of injection signals from the start of injection sensor.
Note:
Disassembly of the start of injection sensor and the
injector nozzle is not envisaged.
