Crankshaft Pulse Pick - up

In the 25 DT, there are six position pins (1) on the dual mass flywheel / drive disc, which are scanned by an inductive pulse pick - up (2).

This is used to calculate the engine speed and the crank angle position.

The crankshaft pulse pick - up is attached to the cylinder block below the starter.
