Control Unit
The electronic control unit for the Motronic M 1.5.4 is located in the left of the engine compartment, in front of the left spring strut dome, in the relay frame.
The control unit functions of the Motronic M 1.5.4 correspond on the whole to those of the Motronic M 1.5.2. The functions for the DIS ignition system, the knock control and the EGR system have been integrated into the control unit and the block learn method cells have been adapted. In addition, permanent fault storage in the EEPROM has been introduced. Version coding is possible via TECH 1.
