Ignition ON

 

Engine OFF

 

Press key F5 in the system main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with YES.

Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

 

Note:

The idle speed regulation switches at a frequency of 0.5 Hz, the idle speed stepper motor moves between the two stop points.

The check is completed after a maximum of 30 s.

Notes on Trouble - shooting:

Nominal Value:

Cause of Fault:

·   Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect control unit K 61 from wiring harness

·   Measure resistance at plug K 61 / Ter. 4 to Ter. 24

·   Lead interruptions from control unit K 61 / Ter. 4 or from Ter. 26 to idle speed adjuster M 33 / Ter. 1 or Ter. 2

·   Disconnect plug from idle speed adjuster M 33

·   Using multimeter, check from idle speed adjuster plug M 33 / Ter. l to control unit K toil i er. 4 Tor passage and short circuit to ground

 

Passage

·   Short circuit or lead interruption from idle speed adjuster M 33 / Ter. 1 to control unit K 61 / Ter. 4

·   Using multimeter, check from idle speed adjuster plug M 33 / Ter. 2 to control unit K 61 / Ter. 26 for passage and short circuit to ground

 

Nominal values are attained

 Passage

·   Idle speed adjuster M 33 defective

·   Control unit K 61 defective
