Depress brakes. Shift selector lever from "N" to "D"

In vehicles with MT, K69 / Ter. 10 is not connected

Notes on Trouble - shooting:

Cause of Fault:

Vehicles with AT:

 

·     Ignition Off

·     Disconnect AT control unit K85 and SIMTEC control unit K69 from wiring harness

 

 

 

·     Using multimeter, check lead connection between K69 / Ter. 1 0 and K85 / Ter. 4 in Omega - B or K85 / Ter. 13 in Vectra / Cavalier, Calibra

       - for passage,

       - for short circuit to ground,

       - for short circuit to + battery voltage

 

 

 

 

 

Further possible faults:

·     Interruption, short circuit to ground or short circuit to + battery voltage in lead from SIMTEC control unit K69 / Ter. 10 to AT control unit

       -      K85 / Ter. 4 (via wiring harness plug connection X4 / Ter. 13) in Omega - B or

       -      K85 / Ter. 13 (via wiring harness plug connection X26 / Ter. O) in Vectra / Cavalier, Calibra

 

·     SIMTEC control unit K 69 defective

·     Fault in AT system
