AR 25/35 4 - speed Automatic Transmission
For the Omega - B, the AR 25 / 35 4 - speed automatic transmission is used. It is a development of the AR 25 / AR 35 4 - speed automatic transmission which is already used in the Omega - A / Carlton and the Senator - B.
A series of detail improvements and adaptation of the control unit characteristic curves have improved the driving comfort while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption. The advantages of the AR 25 / 35 4 - speed automatic transmission are:
- Improved upshifting due to decreased line pressure during upshifting (adapted shift pressure).
- Use of torque converter clutch at low engine speeds for more economical use of fuel.
- Easier selector lever operation; shift comfort improved by modified selector lever and new delay spring.
