F0:DATA LIST

The parameter COOLANT TEMP. gives an indication of the engine coolant temperature when the ignition is switched on. This information is only transferred from the engine control unit to the transmission control unit when the ignition is switched on. The COOLANT TEMP. is not normally updated during the driving cycle.

To obtain a precise value, consult the F0:DATA LIST of the relevant engine Checking Procedures.

If trouble codes for COOLANT TEMP. and TPS LOAD SIGNAL are set simultaneously, check the lead connection from the relevant engine control unit to transmission control unit K85/Ter. 55 as in F0:DATA LIST test step no. 03. Both signals are transferred via the same lead.
