If a 6-cylinder transmission is programmed for the 4-cylinder transmission variant, the transmission control unit goes into the emergency program (trouble code 41 is stored). Before further checks, ensure that the correct transmission variant is programmed. See section F7:PROGRAMMING

GEAR ERROR HYDRAULIC FAULT

see section 5.4.7

·   The fault is recognised if the ratio between the engine speed and the transmission output speed is more than

     3 s outside a certain tolerance (excessive slippage)

 

 

Effects:

 

·  Solenoid valves (brake band, 1-2/3-4 shift, 2-3 shift, torque converter clutch) and electro-hydraulic pressure regulator are switched off

·  On fault recognition, the following individual gears can still be shifted manually (emergency program):

     "Driving stage" (gear) "D"(4), "3"(4), "2"(3), "1"(1)
