· The control unit recognises a pulse
width modulated signal coming from the engine control unit at Ter. 55 which
is above the permissible range
(petrol
engines 96%, diesel engines 90 %)
· The fault is recognised after 180 ms in
vehicles with diesel engines, and after 300 ms for all others
Effects:
· Solenoid valves (brake band,
1-2/3-4 shift, 2-3 shift, torque converter clutch) and electro-hydraulic
pressure regulator are switched off
· On fault recognition, the
following individual gears can still be shifted manually (emergency program):
