Kickdown Switch

In vehicles with petrol engines, the kickdown switch (arrow) is no longer, as was previously the case, under the accelerator pedal. It is now integrated into the accelerator cable, on the engine compartment bulkhead.

In vehicles with the 25 DT turbodiesel engine, the engine control unit determines the kickdown function form the pedal position sensor signal. The pedal position sensor is positioned at the top of the accelerator pedal.
