Set selector lever to "P", raise vehicle. Ensure that parking
lock is engaged in transmission by rotating the propshaft. Loosen
fastening bolt (2). Press lever (1) at transmission rearwards to
stop. Attach fastening bolt (2) – tightening torque 8 Nm/6
lbf. ft.
Inspect
Function check: check that the selector scale/illumination
displays correctly when the selector lever is in each position. It
must be possible to start the engine in selector lever positions
"P" and "N". Check that the starter block is effective in positions
"R, D, 3, 2, and 1".
