| Complaint: |
DTC 10 is set (variantcode not programmed)
after installation and programming of new Service TCM’s.
TCM/Transmission set in limp-home mode. TCM cannot be
reprogrammed. |
| Cause: |
Service TCM’s will be damaged if the
TCM-programming is carried out by using Tech-2 or if the
programming routine is interrupted (e.g.restart of failure code
reading after DTC’s have been deleted). The variant coding
cannot be carried out and DTC 10 will be set. |

Remedy:
It is mandatory to carry out Service TCM Programming by using Tech1.
Follow the programming routine without any interruption.
Programming routine:
- Connect Tech-1
- Delete existing DTC’s.
- Carry out „Programming“ without any
interruption
- Select engine
- Finish programming
