Wiring Harness for Solenoid Valves in Main
Housing, Replace (except Y 25 DT)
Remove
Remove transmission fluid pan (main housing) – see
operation "Transmission Fluid Pan (Main Housing), Remove and
Install and/or Seal, Replace".
Detach fluid screen (3 bolts).
Inspect
Check fluid screen seal for damage – if damaged, replace
fluid screen completely.
Remove
Release wiring harness plugs from
pressure regulator solenoid valves and detach:
1/2 and 3/4 shift (3)
2/3 shift (4)
brake band servo (2)
Disconnect 7-pin wiring harness plug X 9 (1) from transmission
housing using small screwdriver – do not pull on cable.
Inspect
Check 7-pin connection at main housing for damage or contact
parts bent back.
The installation position of the individual wiring harness plugs
for the solenoid valves is predetermined by the shape of the plug
connections (see Illustration E 5836) as well as by the cable
lengths – see operation "Adapter Piece on Main Casing,
Replace".
Install
Connect wiring harness plugs (2, 3, 4) to solenoid valves.
Connect 7-pin wiring harness plug (1) to transmission housing
adapter.
Torque
Install fluid screen with gasket (3 screws) – 20 Nm / 15
lbf. ft.
Install transmission fluid pan (main housing) – see
operation "Transmission Fluid Pan (Main Housing), Remove and
Install and/or Seal, Replace".
