Rear Differential without Limited Slip

 

The rear differentials of the Omega - B have a new housing with an increased number of reinforcement ribs, which strengthen the housing and are used for cooling the differential fluid.

 

The rear differential cover is made of aluminium. It is larger than the rear differential cover in the omega - A / Carlton and has cooling ribs for differential fluid cooling.

The rear differential of the Omega - B can be removed without first removing the rear axle crossmember.

 

Repairs to the rear differential, or replacement of differential drive gears and bevel gears are performed analogously to the repairs for the Omega - A / Car]ton and Senator - B.

Repairs to the rear differential (with slight modifications with respect to Omega - A / Carlton) are described in the Service Instructions, group F.
