Loud exhaust due to burn through of connection hose (left /right) between the fixed pipes of the secondary injection

 

Cause:

To high temp. exhaust gases in secondary air injection system, caused by excessive exhaust gas pressure blowing past the non return valve of the system. Cause of high pressure is a defective catalysator.

Remedy:

How to operate:

 

Firstly establish cause of high exhaust gas pressure.

 

If the catalysator is defective the reason should be established and repaired (for example ignition fault).

 

Replace non return valve and connecting hoses on the secondary air injection system.
