Centre Console, Remove and Install  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Parking brake lever cover (4), gear shift cover (3), with optional equipment "automatic transmission" selector lever cover (3), with optional equipment "electrical window winders" disconnect plug connection.   Cover caps. Bolts for centre console. Ashtray insert covers (2). Prise out retaining bracket (1) for ashtray and can holder inserts and remove. Detach plug connection for ashtray lamp and cigarette lighter, for optional equipment "navigation" (as of 10/98) release wiring harness plug for loudspeaker - see operation "Display and Multi-function Button, Remove and Install" in group "N". Remove centre console.

 

Notice:  For vehicles with navigation and loudspeakers in the centre console (as of 10/98), when replacing the centre console, provide the cut-out for the navigation loudspeaker (1) by hand.     Install, Connect    Insert centre console. Ashtray and can holder inserts. Plug connection for ashtray lamp and cigarette lighter. For optional equipment "navigation" (as of 10/98), install display and multi-function button, connect wiring harness plug for loudspeaker.   Retaining bracket. Ashtray insert panel. Centre console. Cover caps. Plug connection for electric window winder. Gearshift or selector lever cover. Parking brake lever cover.
