Engine Oil Temperature, Measure

Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove oil dipstick from oil dipstick guide tube.  

Object Number: 616197 Size: DEFAULT  Measure   

Measure engine oil temperature with MKM-596-A. For this operation, insert measurement sensor in oil dipstick guide tube until approx. 1 cm above bottom of oil pan. Seal opening of guide tube with rubber plug supplied.  

Notice: 

The engine oil temperature depends on the engine load. High ambient temperatures and engine loads can cause engine oil temperatures of up to approx. 150 ° C.

Pull Probe MKM-596-A out of oil dipstick guide tube.  

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Insert oil dipstick into oil dipstick guide tube.
