Subject: Installation of the cylinder head gasket
Vehicles: Vectra-B and Omega-B with X 20 DTL and X 20 DTH engine
Condition: In some engines, the cylinder head gasket is installed in production with sealant in the timing case area. Application of the sealant is no longer necessary due to modification of the cylinder head gasket. Only the new cylinder head gasket will be used in Service, i.e. ensure that the cylinder head gasket is always installed dry, even if the old gasket was installed with sealant.
