Engine - Strong vibrations while reverse driving

Complaint: Noises or Vibrations Strong vibrations while reverse driving, especially on a gradient.
Cause: Due the high torque the rear attenuation block is on the upper stop. The stop is too small to isolate the vibrations which are transfered to the body as a result of this.

Remedy:
Special Part: No
1. Installation of a new attenuation block (B) with a shortened internal stop. 2. Installation of a bigger stop (C) for bracing the torque. For work to remove and reinstall the attenuation - see Service-Instruction Vectra-B, X20DTL.
Working procedure:
Lower engine until engine suports under full load.
Remove engine bridge MKM-883-1.
Hang in gearshift lever in mounts and secure with clips.
Reinstall front exhaust pipe with new gasket and new nuts on manifold - torque 12 Nm.
Reinstall front exhaust pipe on muffler - torque 12 Nm.
Reinstall right axle shaft - see Service-instruction Vectra-B, X20DTL.
Reinstall gearshift linkage on gearshift.
Adjust gearshifter - see Service-Instruction Vectra-B, X20DTL.
Install mount of fuel filter element.
Hang in fuel filter element and connect electrical.
Check transmission fluid level and correct if necessary - see Service Instruction Vectra-B, X20DTL.
Reinstall lower engine shield
