Replacement of Injection Pump VP 44

Condition:
The injection pump is set to a precisely defined axial dimension by the manufacturer, Bosch. To compensate for manufacturing tolerances, in some cases the axial dimension is adjusted by adding a spacer washer on the injection pump flange - see also illustration G 3092. There are therefore injection pumps both with and without these spacer washers. If an injection pump is being replaced, the spacer washer must always be left on the injection pump flange. The new injection pump is supplied with a preset axial dimension - i. e. with or without the spacer washer.
