Fuel Pressure Regulator, Remove and Install  

  Important!   

Fuel escapes - observe safety measures and national legislation. Collect escaping fuel in a suitable container.     Install, Connect    Connect Fuel Pressure Gauge KM-J-34730-91 to test connection (1) on fuel distributor pipe. Reduce fuel pressure by opening valve on pressure gauge.     Remove, Disconnect    Detach vacuum hose (2) from fuel pressure regulator. Remove fastening clamp (3) from fuel pressure regulator and from fuel distributor pipe.   Mark installation position for identification and carefully remove fuel pressure regulator (4) from fuel distributor tube - ensure utmost cleanliness.     Important!    Damaged seal rings (5) must be replaced.

  Install, Connect   

Lightly coat new seal rings before installation with clean engine oil.  

Insert fuel pressure regulator into fuel distributor pipe - ensure fuel pressure regulator is completely clean and note its installation position.  

Attach fastening clamp to fuel pressure regulator and to fuel distributor tube - tightening torque 5 Nm / 4 lbf. ft.  

Attach vacuum hose to fuel pressure regulator.
