Engine Control Unit, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL with Secondary Air System)
Remove, Disconnect
Remove water deflector - see operation "Water Deflector, Remove and Install" in group "A".
Release cover (1) for engine control unit.
Disconnect wiring harness plugs (2) and (3) from engine control unit and lay cover with cable bundle aside.
Unscrew fastening nuts (4) and remove engine control unit with bracket upwards. Remove engine control unit from bracket.
Install, Connect
Secure engine control unit to bracket, insert into plenum chamber and bolt securely.
Connect wiring harness plug to engine control unit - ensure correct plug contacts and correct seating.
Secure cover of engine control unit.
Install water deflector - see operation "Water Deflector, Remove and Install" in group "A".
Remove, Disconnect 
Install, Connect
