Knock Sensor, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL)
 Remove, Disconnect For X 16 XEL with secondary air system: detach wiring harness plug for knock sensor (1) at the lower part of inlet manifold. For X 16 XEL without secondary air system: Unclip wiring harness plug for knock sensor (2) from bracket at wiring trough and disconnect. |

Remove, Disconnect Unscrew knock sensor (1) from cylinder block.
 Install, Connect Attach knock sensor to cylinder block - tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.
 Important! The knock sensor must rest on the whole surface of the cylinder block - ensure utmost cleanliness. Do not use any washers, spring washers or toothed lock washers. Tightening torque must be adhered to, as malfunctions may otherwise occur.
Install, Connect Connect wiring harness plug for knock sensor and fasten to appropriate bracket - ensure correct cable routing. |
