Fuel Pressure Regulator, Remove and Install  

  Install, Connect   

Connect Fuel Pressure Checking Unit KM-J-34730-91 to checking connection (2) of the fuel distributor pipe. Reduce fuel pressure by opening the valve on the pressure checking unit - collect escaping fuel in a suitable vessel. Note safety regulations and country-specific regulations.     Remove, Disconnect    Disconnect engine vent hose (1) from cylinder head cover. Pull vacuum hose (3) from fuel pressure regulator. Carefully disconnect fastening clamp (4) from fuel pressure regulator and fuel distributor pipe. Mark installation position and carefully remove fuel pressure regulator from fuel distributor pipe.     Important!    Ensure utmost cleanliness.   Damaged seal rings (5) must be replaced.

  Install, Connect   

Lightly coat seal before assembly with clean engine oil.  

Insert fuel pressure regulator into fuel distributor pipe - ensure utmost cleanliness and note installation position of the fuel pressure regulator.  

Install fastening clamp at fuel pressure regulator and fuel distributor tube - tightening torque 5 Nm / 4 lbf. ft.  

Connect vacuum hose to fuel pressure regulator.  

Attach engine vent hose to cylinder head cover.
