Tie Rod The Vectra-B features the introduction of a newly designed tie rod.
The Vectra-B is no longer equipped with the adjustment pin for adjusting the tie rod, familiar from the Vectra-A/Cavalier. In the Vectra-B, adjustment is made directly at the tie rod. The tie rod is fastened via a lock nut (1). In addition, the tie rod of the Vectra-B is fastened directly on the steering gear rack. • Service When replacing the tie rod, adjustment of the straight ahead position is not required. The corresponding operation is described in the "Vectra-B Service Instructions", group M.
