Anti-theft Warning System (ATWS) with Central Locking and Radio Remote Control Optional equipment for the Vectra-B includes an anti-theft warning system (ATWS) in conjunction with the central locking and radio remote control (see section 5.4). The following functions have been modified relative to the familiar ATWS:
- The previously separate anti-theft warning system and central door locking system (CDLS) have been integrated into one control unit.
- The immobiliser functions are no longer performed by the ATWS control unit, as each vehicle is equipped with an immobiliser with transponder.
- Radio monitoring is no longer required, as all radio units are coded, making them inoperational in the case of theft and therefore unattractive for thieves.
- Use of alarm siren for all Vauxhall vehicles (power sounder, see section 5.5.4.2).
- To program the ATWS with TECH 1, the security code on the Car Pass must be entered.
