•  Ignition OFF  

•  All doors/trunk/tailgate and engine hood closed  

•  Car key in driver door turned 30 ° to the left

Diagnostic tester shows a fixed value in the above mentioned range  

 

•  Car key in driver door turned 30 ° to the right  

•  Car key turned back to neutral position and turned 30 ° to the right again  

•  Movement in the passenger compartment  

0 ... 255

Note:  

If it is possible, this test should be performed by two technicians. One of them has to sit in the passenger compartment and avoid making any movements while the anti theft warning system is arming. The second technician should be outside the vehicle and arm the anti theft warning system.  

The direction in which the car key is turned refers to a vehicle with left hand drive. On vehicles with right hand drive the car key must be turned in the opposite direction.  

To protect the motors against overheating problems caused by permanent operation, an overload protection is activated. While the overload protection is active, all motor functions are blocked.  

At the end of the test, the anti theft warning system must be disarmed again.
