Basic Principles, Location, Replacement of Multitimer

The multitimer combines components and relays that were previously single units into one central electronic module. Basically, individual time relays with time delay functions are collected into one module.

The multitimer is integrated into the fuse box (central electrics) and is similar to a drawer inserted into the fuse box.

The multitimer is connected by a 38-pin plug (of which 8 are power contacts). Relays that are actuated by the multitimer contact the relevant contacts in the multitimer with their relay coils directly through the fuse box. The power contacts of the relays contact the fuse box alone (with the exception of the 2 turn signal relays).
