Survey of Installation Positions, Relays and Control Units There are four main installation locations for relays and control units. The illustration shows the example of a vehicle with the X 16 XEL engine.
1 Relay box above ABS control unit, places 10 to 19. 2 Relay box at battery, places 1 to 6. 3 Relay box at battery, places 7 to 9. 4 Relays in fuse box.
