CCR6OO Radio and CD Player with Trafficmaster

Vehicles:

Vectra 1997 Model Year

Condition:

Due to changes in the instrument panel wiring harness, when Trafficmaster is installed into a Vectra with the CCR6OO radio and CD player, it is possible that the operation of Trafficmaster will cause the CD cartridge to be ejected.

To overcome this problem, the following rework must be carried out to any Trafficmaster kit being installed where the CCR6OO radio and CD player are fitted to a Vectra.

Modifications to the Trafficmaster Wiring Harness

Install a link wire between the brown / red wire, terminal 20 of the connector to the radio and the brown / blue wire, terminal 20 of the connector to the vehicle instrument panel harness.

The link wire should be made from 0.5mm cable, approximatefy 90 mm long. The connection (arrowed) should be soldered and insulated.

Note:

This modification to the Trafficmaster wiring harness will eventually be carried out by Trafficmaster. As soon as modified kits are available, this rework will no longer be necessary

Time Alwowance

An additional time allowance of 0.2 hours may be claimed for any vehicle requiring this modification. Claims should be sent to the Warranty Refer To for approval, stating this Technical Bulletin number.
