Wiring Harness - Trailer Hitch, Remove and Install  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove rear panelling - see operation "Rear Panelling, Remove and Install" in group "A". Remove rear end panel lower panelling - see operation "Inner Panelling - Lower Rear End Panel, Remove and Install" in group "C". Unbolt socket from trailer hitch. Remove cable ties. Release and disconnect wiring harness plug in luggage compartment. Pull wiring harness outwards from lower rear end panel together with grommet.     Install, Connect    Insert wiring harness into lower rear end panel together with grommet. Connect wiring harness plug. Fasten socket to trailer hitch. Secure wiring harness to trailer hitch using cable ties. Attach rear end panel lower panelling and rear panelling - operations "Inner Panelling - Lower Rear End Panel, Remove and Install" in group "C" and "Rear Panelling, Remove and Install" in group "A".   System, Operational Check   To check, connect trailer to vehicle - to check without trailer, connect a 5-watt bulb to each of socket terminals "5/58R" and "7/58L" and a 21-watt bulb to each of socket terminals "1/L", "4/R", "2/54" and "6/54". For 13-pin sockets, also connect a 21-watt bulb to terminal 9.
