Condition

Door Speaker rattling or vibrating.

Service

-

Identify which door speaker is rattling or vibrating.

-

Remove corresponding door panel and check if condition still exists.

If speaker still rattles or vibrates:

-

Check that the speaker is riveted tightly to panel (replace any loose rivets).

-

Check harness routing (route as necessary to prevent rattling or vibrating).

If speaker does not rattle or vibrate:

-

Check that door panel speaker grill and door components are properly fastened.

-

Check that plastic ring is not damaged and is properly installed around speaker.

-

Reinstall door trim panel.

While reinstalling door panel, ensure that plastic ring fits tightly between speaker mounting surface and door panel.

-

Retest after installing door panel.
