Remove Lock housing cover.

Tip:
To remove lock housing cover, gently pry between the locking pawl and cover guides while pulling down on cover. Underside of cover shown for ease
of location identification.

Remove the lock dampening rubber by pulling downward out of lock housing.

^

Install new rear lock dampening rubber Part No. 1C0 827 589 B.

Tip:
Ensure proper engagement of lock dampening rubber retaining tab into the lock housing and is seated on the guide slots.

Install lock housing cover.

^

Install rear decklid trim panel (see Repair Manual, Body Interior, Group 70 - Interior trim).
