Press tabs of retaining clip together -arrows-.

Pull locking cable out of selector mechanism.

Installing: 

CAUTION!

When installing, ensure locking cable routing is correct.

^

Do not kink locking cable.

^

Adjust locking cable after installing.

^

Move selector lever to "P".

^

Press locking cable into support bracket on selector lever housing until tabs on retaining clip -arrows- spread.

^

Attach locking cable in locking lever.

^

Turn ignition ON.

^

Push locking cable into steering lock.

^

Install clip into locking cable.

^

Be sure that clip is properly located.
