Idle Boost Valve: Testing and Inspection
Idle Speed Boost Valve 2 (A/C Bypass)

1.

Ensure A/C is off, then allow engine to idle.

2.

Pinch off vacuum line to boost valve. RPM must not change.

3.

Switch A/C on. RPM must drop.

4.

If RPM does not drop, disconnect electrical connector to boost valve and measure voltage between connector and ground using multimeter tool
No. US 1119 or equivalent. Correct voltage reading is approximately 12 volts.

5.

If not within specification, inspect wiring and repair if necessary, or replace boost valve.
